- The accommodation confirmation will be sent to you once we have confirmed your payment. International payments can take a few days to reach us.
- Each of you should fill out the application for a place in a twin room and mention your friends name in the comment section of the application. We will try to place you together if possible.
- Only twin rooms are available. However, you can apply for “two places in a twin room for single use.”
- Rooms are equipped with basic furniture items, including a bed, desk, chair, and shelves for each resident. Bedding is provided. Kitchens are equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, a kettle, a microwave oven and basic kitchenware.
- Rent is paid for the ongoing month. The fixed price includes rent, utilities, cleaning service, laundromat, parking, and internet.
- Payments are registered into the system once a day during business days. It might take up to 3 business days for the payment to be registered in E-kyla.
- No, the contract cannot be terminated earlier. You have signed a fixed-term contract, and the end date is connected to your study status at the University of Tartu. You can move out earlier, but the contract remains in effect until the end date.
- No, you can collect your keys at any time from the beginning date of your contract. The reception at Raatuse 22 is open 24/7. However, please notify us if you will be arriving more than one week after your contract begins.
- Contracts are signed for one semester at a time. If you will be staying for two semesters, you do not need to reapply. An email about signing contracts for the next semester will be sent out about a month before your current contract ends, allowing you to extend your stay for another semester.
- You can borrow a new set of keys from the reception for 3 euros per day until you find your keys, or you can buy a new set of keys for 50 euros.
- If the problem is hard water stains (little white flakes), add vinegar to the water and boil it to clean the kettle.
- If the kettle won’t turn on, please go to the reception.
- Use masking tape to avoid damaging the walls. Any wall damages will be deducted from your deposit.
- Postboxes are located in the lobby. Your address is indicated on your residential agreement.
- Letters, newspapers, and periodicals are delivered to the postboxes. Larger parcels must be picked up from the post office. The post office will notify you via email or by delivering a parcel notice to your postbox.
- When ordering parcels or periodicals, make sure to include your room number in the address to ensure delivery.
- Tartu Student Village employees do not accept parcels delivered by couriers. Provide the courier company with your phone number or email address so they can contact you. If you are not at the residence hall when the parcel arrives, authorize a friend to receive the parcel for you.
